The Current State of the Recycling Art

The LA Times has an article about what happens to those curbside recyclables after they get picked up. Recycling still depends heavily on manual labor, which is incredibly lame and why it is still mostly a waste of time and money (except for aluminum). We need money to research better recyling methods instead of subsidizing the current methods. Until that happens I'll be tossing the newspaper in the trash and cashing in my cans personally.
